STEPHEN T. CONLEY - Principal and Founder

Stephen T. Conley serves as Chairman of Bancap Investment Group, Inc.  Under his leadership, Bancap has grown from a one-man office, start-up enterprise to a well established investment company.

A native of Long Beach, Steve spent 16 years with McDonnell Douglas, the last seven years as Vice President of Computer Systems, and four years as Senior Vice President of Union Bank.  He is a graduate of Stanford University with a BA in Economics and University of California at Los Angeles with an MBA.

Steve is extremely involved in the Long Beach community.  His activities include serving as past President and a current member of the Long Beach Board of Water Commissioners, Board of Directors and Volunteer Diver at the Aquarium of the Pacific, Executive Board of the Western Region of the Boy Scouts of America and Advisory Board of Joie de Vivre Hospitality, Inc. of San Francisco.    Past roles include President of both the Long Beach Area Council and Area IV of the Western Region of the Boy Scouts of America, President of Westminster Memorial Park, Director and Finance Chairman of Memorial Health Services, Vice President of Long Beach Rotary and President of the Long Beach Stanford Club.

JOHN W. HANCOCK - Principal and Founder

John W. Hancock serves as President of Bancap Investment Group.  He spent 32 years with Security Pacific National Bank developing a strong background in banking, corporate finance, and real estate.  During his career, he headed the National Division, and retired as Executive Vice President - Administrator of the Real Estate Industries Group.

John holds both a BA in Economics and an MBA from Stanford University.  He has attended Harvard University's Executive Financial Management Program and the Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.

John is also very actively involved in the Long Beach community.  He has served for 9 years on the Port of Long Beach Board of Harbor Commission, including 3 years as President.  He is a Director and Past Chairman of Memorial Health Services.  In addition, he has served on the Board of the Long Beach Symphony for many years, including 3 years as President.  Other Board affiliations include Long Beach City College Foundation, Rancho Los Alamitos, Long Beach Public Library Foundation, and Past President of Boy Scouts of America.

R. WHITNEY LATIMER - Principal and Chief Financial Officer

Whit Latimer serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bancap.  He has been with the company since 1985 and manages the day-to-day operations of Bancap Investment Group and Bancap Commercial Real Estate Services.

Prior to joining Bancap, Whit was a Senior Auditor for Deloitte and Touche and a Director of Operations for Times Mirror Cable Television.  He is a graduate of Claremont Men's College where he holds a BA in Economics and Accounting.  Whit was President of Long Beach Rotary (2001-2002) and is currently the President of the Boy Scouts of America (Long Beach Area Council; 2004-2005).  He is on the board of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Children's Dental Foundation Advisory Board.
